Supernova

As the first work in the Supernova collection, this painting holds a very special meaning for me. I had just arrived in Switzerland when the idea came to me. One day, I decided to try something new on this 80 x 60 cm canvas. I still remember the final session, that last night — I had a feeling something special would come from this piece. I started at 7 PM and finished at 9 AM. Fourteen hours later, completely absorbed in the process, I gave this new collection its name. The highly contrasting mix of colors shapes the face as if it were made up of a multitude of stars — hence the name Supernova.
As a fun fact, the original was sold within 24 hours, right in the heart of Geneva.
